Health Unit Coordinator - Career Development Program

Prepare to work in hospital nursing stations and skilled nursing facilities performing clerical duties including assisting healthcare personnel, maintaining patient records, utilizing unit telephones, computer, intercom and files. Learn to provide communication support to nursing services and ancillary departments in the admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients.  Topics include: Medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, medical law and liability, CPR/first aid and employability skills.  When you complete the program you will sit for the Certified Unit Coordinator exam.
