MCCTC students spread holiday cheer to soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center
Students in the Interactive Multimedia program and the Adult Education program at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center are lifting the spirits of American soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center this holiday season.
Kathy Schlarb, Adult Education Supervisor, charged juniors and seniors in the IMM program with the task of designing holiday greeting cards for soldiers under medical care at the Medical Center. Each student created his or her own card incorporating patriotic and holiday themes to create a truly unique greeting card.
The cards were then signed by students in the Adult Education program and mailed to the Medical Center ensuring each soldier would receive his or her own individual greeting card this season. The classes were able to create and sign a total of 57 cards.
